Metatron threatened to send heaven’s forces after Crowley if Aziraphale didn’t accept the position as supreme archangel. Aziraphale knew if he just left or if he confided in Crowley that he would try and save him, and get himself hurt in the process. He had to go and break his heart saying the worst thing he could imagine to Crowley, that he wanted Crowley to be an angel again, wanted to change him, make him believe that he didn’t love him as a demon. Aziraphale did not expect Crowley’s confession or the kiss though and was doing his best to play the part of not loving him, even though he knew exactly how much he was hurting both of them to keep Crowley safe.

Emily Axford acts with unyielding wonder and empathy for everything she touches and Brennan knows it. When he confronts Emily with a power larger than her, or a power stranger than her, he does not bother trying to intimidate her. He knows she will look his gods in the eyes and speak to them with understanding. He knows that she will not shy away from touching what shouldn’t be touched if it means she learn from it. He may not know what she will do exactly (she is a bit of wild card) but you can always tell that he’s prepared for her to seek a connection and I love to watch it every time it happens. She is radical hope and understanding and pure unadulterated joy for what any world has to offer. Emily Axford and her role playing is fucking amazing.

Backstory: As a child, Peter wandered too far from home, and walked through a portal to Wonderland. He was trapped there and became obsessed with the nonsensical way time worked in Wonderland, as he wanted to return back home at the moment he left. He has been desperately learning magic to achieve this. He finally managed to time travel almost perfectly. He knows this is the correct time, but everything is wrong now. He has been surviving in the Neverafter, and searching for the key component to time travel, an arcane artifact that must be of the plane he wishes to travel to and the time he wishes to travel to. He only knows of one such person who possesses something, Alice who kept the Vorpal Blade after she slayed the jabberwocky and returned home.

Tinkerbell from Peter Pan and the Pixie Hollow book series

Race: Fairy

Class: Artificer

Backstory: Mother Dove is mysteriously losing her magic and dying and Tinkerbell left in search of a way to heal Mother Dove, or find a new source of pixie dust on the mainland. She has a bag of pixie dust with her she can use for her magic, but is slowly running out and has to rely on her inventions more and more. She has to be the tinker who fixes everything, before her light fades for good.

ASMODEUS: “I think I remember. The nature of the ceremony — this is a ceremony of atonement, correct?”

ZERXUS: “Yes.”

ASMODEUS: “I see. I think I know what may be happening.”

ZERXUS: “What?”

ASMODEUS: “The ritual of Evandrin, the resurrection. It didn’t work, because you tried to resurrect him, but he wasn’t dead.”

ZERXUS: “Right.”

ASMODEUS: “You’re trying to atone me.

And I diDN’T DO ANYTHING WRONG.”

On finally actually watching it the thing abt the Zerxus/Asmodeus scene I didn’t anticipate is that Brennan actually set this scene up relatively neutrally from Asmodeus’ opening lines in that i could see it having had any number of tones from tense and awful to tentatively positive, but Luis fcking Carazo cliff dove headfirst into the pool labeled “angsty homoerotic sympathy for devil” and Brennan course adjusted immediately and violently and now here we are, somehow supposed to cope with the results.
